Graves ABF and Stecker ABF at Lake Pointe have partnered to form a power group for men’s bible studies. It’s open (and attended) by men from other ABFs and is open to anyone. We meet at Lake Pointe in rooms W100 and W102 at 8 pm on Tuesdays.
There are currently 2 study paths available … you can jump in at anytime.
We also go on outings and retreats from time to time. Click here for recaps and information on those events.
What We Are About
Covenant Relationships
There are four types of relationships in life: casual, corporate, commitment and covenant. Casual relationships are simply sitting next to someone on a bus or waiting in line at the store. Corporate relationships are exactly that…it’s the people you work with, your neighbors, etc. Commitment level relationships are those that express a higher degree of friendship, affinity and community. Covenant relationships are much different.

Mens Retreat 2009
There are also four types of covenant relationships in life: the relationship between God and His people, between a husband and a wife, between a parent and a child…and between the closest of friends of the same gender. A person will only have a few of the latter covenant relationships (of the same gender) in a lifetime…it’s your best man, the person you think to call in a time of need. And it is important to develop these relationships by spending time together and ultimately developing what is called a “Covenant Team of Peers.” These relationships are essential to our walk with God.
Guys, this is what I think so many of us long for. We really do want a covenant relationship with some other guy we can trust, but we just have a hard time mustering up the courage to ask others if they want the same thing. I think we have a good, really good, starting place for these types of covenant relationships to occur. I want to encourage you as we have already done some hard work in being real with each other and honest about our struggles and successes. Let’s keep building on that and settle for nothing less than God’s best for us as a covenant team of peers.
Lead Courageously
Accept Responsibility
Reject Passivity
Expect God’s Greater Reward
